Built for the journey, these quick dry trousers are finished with a fluorocarbon-free DWR coating to protect you from light rainfall.

Our Verdict

The Montane Genoa Lite Pants feel soft and casual while still functioning like proper mountain trousers. At 327g (Medium), they offer a solid mix of breathability and movement, and the four-way stretch is especially noticeable when stepping high or moving fast. Thanks to the PFC-free DWR, the fabric dries quickly and handles wind and light showers well.

They sit mid-rise and move with you without restriction. I like the five-pocket layout for everyday use, though I’d prefer one zip pocket for peace of mind on the move. The sizing feels a touch generous—worth checking if you’re between sizes.
