Our Verdict

The OMM Dyno Shorts feel well thought out, especially if you’re after something mid-length. At 96g (medium), they’re light enough for longer efforts, and the 4-way stretch won’t restrict movement and doesn’t ride up. The inner liner adds support without getting clingy, and I’ve found it stays in place even when working hard on steep terrain.

The wide mesh waistband is comfortable and sits flat under a pack, with an internal drawcord that stays tied. Storage is minimal—a single rear pocket with a zip that works well for keys or a gel, but nothing bulky.
