Our Verdict

The High Coast Pack Shirt SS from Fjällräven has become a regular part of my summer kit. At just over 200g (size M), it’s not the lightest shirt I own, but the comfort and practicality make it worthwhile. The fabric feels smooth against the skin and stretches just enough without clinging or sagging when damp. I appreciate the simplicity—no fiddly vents or extras—just a relaxed fit, a pop-stud closure, and one tidy chest pocket with a zip that keeps cards or keys in place.

It’s very breathable and dries quickly after a sweaty climb or an unexpected splash, though I’ve found it wrinkles more than I’d like when packed tightly. It’s not a significant drawback, but worth noting if you prefer a shirt that stays crisp right out of the pack. That said, I don’t mind a few creases when I’m on trail—and being Fjällräven, it still looks spot-on at the pub after a warm day out or halfway up a ridgeline.
